Lost Pets

Lost Pet? Here’s what you do next.

Contact local shelters and animal control centers. If you are registered on MPC, that means your animal is microchipped, so once it is found, and scanned, shelters & animal control will be able to get them back to you. To ensure that your animal is seen, and gets this scanned properly, reach out to our pet specialists who can begin contacting local shelters and requesting the right people keep an eye out for your pet.

Get on social media, and make posts about your missing pet. Certain local media apps can connect you with others, who can help. You can make posts on Neighborhood FBGroups, NextDoor, and Craigslist. This will help others find you if they locate your pet, as well as give them an idea of what to look out for.

Search your neighborhood. You can make pet posters by using a word doc. Make sure it has an image of your pet, a description, and your contact information on it. Going around and asking neighbors if they’ve seen your pet is also useful, just have a poster/photo on hand so they can recognize your pet if they’ve seen them.
